"Your willingness to look at your darkness is what empowers you to change."

—Iyanla Vanzant

As a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory designation (LISW-S), I am dedicated to providing a supportive and empowering environment where individuals can explore—and discover—their authentic selves. I welcome clients of any age who feel we might be a good match, and I have a special passion for working with emerging/young adults facing challenges unique to that time of life’s journey. My goal is to help clients discover their own inner resources through providing a safe and challenging space in which to explore, think critically, and take control of their own lives.

Therapeutic Approach

My approach is client-centered, holistic, and integrative, focusing on each client’s unique needs. I draw on evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and somatic work. This tailored approach allows me to meet clients where they are, using strategies like mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, and trauma-informed care to support their personal growth.

Some of the areas in which I have past experience and enjoy working with clients around include:

Anxiety: Assisting clients in managing anxiety through mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, and tailored coping strategies to foster resilience and calm.

ADHD: Providing support and tools to help clients understand and manage symptoms, improve focus, and build routines that work with their strengths.

Life Transitions: Supporting individuals during significant life changes by offering guidance, strategies, and encouragement as they embrace new phases and opportunities.

Trauma: Utilizing trauma-informed care to help clients process past experiences, build self-esteem, and develop healthier coping mechanisms.

 Philosophy

I believe that therapy is a unique journey for everyone. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their inner worlds, develop self-awareness, and gain confidence in their ability to drive change in their lives. My philosophy emphasizes the importance of an integrative and strengths-based approach to support holistic healing and empowerment.

Personal

Originally from upstate New York, I enjoy spending my free time with my two cats, Rose and Toothless (a nod to my love for "How to Train Your Dragon"). My hobbies include reading, watching favorite shows, and exploring whatever activity captures my interest in the moment.
