I am a licensed social worker with a master’s in social work from The Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s in English Literature from Ohio University.

I enjoy working with clients (age 16 and up) from a myriad of backgrounds and perspectives.

As someone with an ADHD diagnosis, I know what it’s like to be neurodivergent in today’s world. I have found that his diagnosis is not a problem that needs solving, just a different set of strengths. I am passionate about helping others discover their own unexpected strengths.

Who I Work With

I believe in meeting people where they are and aims to help clients find creative solutions to life’s challenges that feel authentic to them. I work to create a strong therapeutic bond with each client and believes in transparency throughout the therapy process. I understand that circumstances can’t always be changed, but the ways we react to them can. I enjoy working with clients on a number of issues including:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • LGBTQ issues

  • Gender transitions

  • Self-esteem

  • Communication

My Approach

I employ an integrative and client-centered approach, mainly drawing from emotion-focused therapy, strengths-based therapy, and motivational Interviewing, depending on what is most suited to the client. I believe mindfulness can be a powerful tool against a world of anxiety and stress and finds it can be a good fit for many clients.

I believe every person deserves the space and safety to be exactly who they are. I practice cultural humility and continues to learn more about our world every day.

Professional Experience

I hold a license in Marriage and Family Therapy and am working towards my independent licensure. My professional journey includes significant experience at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as well as the OSU Couple and Family Therapy Clinic, where I co-led premarital groups and worked extensively with families.

Fun Facts

I love woodworking and collecting vintage hand tools. I am also a big nerd for sci-fi and fantasy (think Stargate, X-files, Lord of the Rings, etc.) I also enjoy hiking and camping with my wife and dog.
