My Approach
I believe in meeting clients where they are, highlighting their strengths, and fostering resilience through cognitive restructuring, problem-solving, and psychoeducation. My goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their lives, emotions, reactions, behaviors, and relationships. By balancing accountability with compassionate challenging, I help clients reduce blame, guilt, and shame, and build self-esteem. I utilize and have specialized training in evidence-based practices including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Motivational interviewing
Mindfulness techniques
Strengths-based and client-centered approaches
Professional Experience
I hold a license in Marriage and Family Therapy and am working towards my independent licensure. My professional journey includes significant experience at Nationwide Children’s Hospital as well as the OSU Couple and Family Therapy Clinic, where I co-led premarital groups and worked extensively with families.
Fun Facts
Originally from Minnesota, I have planted roots in Ohio over the past four years. When I'm not in the therapy room, I enjoy reading, playing games, and doing puzzles with my orange cat, Ember. My personal interests enrich my therapeutic practice, allowing me to connect with clients on a deeper level.
Let's Work Together
Whether you are a parent seeking support for your child, an individual who is navigating a difficult transition, or a couple looking to strengthen your relationship, I am here to help. Together, we can explore your strengths and work towards meaningful change and growth. Let's unlock your potential and help you feel unstuck to achieve the life you desire.
